Steve Crupi grew up in Watertown, WI. He is an analytical chemistry scientist with experience in Project Management and Quality Management at environmental labs, an environmental consulting firm, and the State of Alaska Environmental Health Lab. These positions required the implementation of Quality Assurance principles, analytical chemistry bench experience, laboratory internal and external audits, environmental field sample collection, and field testing, hydrology and field sample handling.
Steve’s experience includes working with regulations and guidelines administered by several different oversight programs, including ISO17025, the States of Alaska and Washington, DOD, DOE, USACE, NELAP, and the USEPA Superfund CLP programs. His career spans 24.5 years working in commercial environmental laboratories, 3.5 years in environmental consulting, and 6.5 years at the Alaska Environmental Health Lab developing an ISO17025 compliant program and oversight responsibility for Drinking Water and Cannabis testing laboratory certifications.
